WYRDOUT PORTRAIT - July 2015

Good morning! Only one month to go until The first WYRDOUT and we are very pleased to announce our day splits, and also that GNOD will now be joining us on Friday night!

We are currently piecing together the stage times for WYRDOUT and will be posting here a bit later on!

Gnod are based around Salford’s Islington Mill, where various members live, rehearse and record. More than 30 musicians have passed through the collective since they started in 2007 and early jam sessions would involve up to 16.

The current incarnation includes longstanding members Chris Haslam and Paddy Shine with Marlene Ribeiro, Alex Macarte and Andy Blundell. Since starting out Gnod have put out 20-plus label releases and CD-Rs.

Antoni Maiovvi

Antoni Maiovvi is just one of many schizophrenic personalities of the prolific British producer Anton Maiof. Born and raised in Bristol, but schooled as a late blooming gypsy across Europe, Maiovvi’s sound is a pan-dimensional mutation of Electro, Italo, Experimental Electronics and Horror Soundtracks.

His discography (currently) spans 8 albums and 10 E.Ps since 2008, appearing on labels as diverse as Not Not Fun, (Kompakt’s short lived sister label) Fright Records to the notorious Death Waltz Recording Company as well as his own Giallo Disco Records, which he co-manages with Vercetti Technicolor and the newly minted Royal Athlete which he co-manages with Vexkiddy, a label created out of the Hot Pony club in Berlin.

Famine & Groak added to the line up….

WYRDOUT PORTRAIT - JUNE 20152

Grindcore poster boys Famine plus tour partners and doom merchants Groak have been added. They will be joining on our Saturday afternoon line up. There is always room on the broom for a bit of afternoon grind…

online-announce1
The year has come around so quickly, and here is our initial line up reveal.

We are extremely pleased to be playing host to Seattle’s own Helms Alee as well as our friends from the northern cities of Leeds, Manchester and Sheffield: That Fucking Tank, Cleft, Warm Widow and Seize The Chair. They will be joining local heroes Night Flowers, Fever Dream, Shitwife, USA Nails, Silent Front, Ghold and Bad Guys.

But that’s not all, we have more bands to announce in the coming weeks. We are pleased to announce that Birthdays, The Shacklewell Arms and The Victoria will all be a part of Wyrdout. A few more venues may also be announced over the coming weeks once more artists are announced.

New Year, New Name

A Belated happy new year to you all.

It’s been very quiet over the last few months here but rest assured ideas have been floating back and forth and countless lists have been made!

The first thing you will notice is that we now have a new name so please welcome ‘Wyrd Out‘.

We will have a very exciting announcement to make early next week so please keep your eyes and ears peeled.

Follow us on Twitter & Facebook – we are very keen to hear your suggestions and ideas and hopefully create a festival built to the spec of our collective enthusiasm!!!

Day 54

Day 54
We’ve made our Kickstarter goal!

Day 54

But please don’t give up now.

We’ve made our first goal. Which means we’re taking Fall Out Festival multi-venue!

Thanks to everyone for your continued support. But please don’t stop now, as we want to do so much more. The more funding we get for the festival, the more we can do and the better the bands that we can book, so please keep spreading the word and pledging where you can.

Lets take Fall Out Festival further together!

Day Fifteen

Day Fifteen
We’re over half way!
One week in and we’re over half way! That means if only 25 more people pledge a ticket to the Kickstarter, we’re taking this thing multi-venue. Hell, they’re a FULL weekend ticket to a London festival for £20 for a short time only, buy one for a friend too! The links here. Let’s do this!

Kick Starter Funding

Time Out
Time Out
Time Out were kind enough to feature us in their blog with some kind words. Apparently we’re well ‘worth a punt’. We couldn’t agree more! There has actually been a heap of press about us, so we’re going to add a press section to the site real soon.

Fundraiser!
And finally, there will be news of our first fundraiser show next week. And it really is a good one! Keep your eyes peeled.

Day Eight

Day Eight
It’s been a busy week at Fall Out
And we’ve got two pieces of news that we can give you, with many more in the pipeline.

The first is that due to overwhelming demand from people on email and social media, we have launched a Kickstarter campaign to aid with fundraising. And would love it if you would pledge to the cause. We’ve already sold enough tickets to stage an event in one venue. But we want to do so much more.

Kickstart 2

FAQ’s
The second piece of news is that we’ve launched an FAQ’s section on the site that we hope covers all of the questions that have been posed to us via both email and social media. If your question/s still haven’t been answered, then please don’t hesitate to get in touch at falloutfest2015@gmail.com. We’ll do our best to reply as quickly as possible.
